So proud to introduce The Room for Art at Jack & Atticus. An art space for all ages and abilities.
If you are new to art or want to develop your skills then this is the place for you. A place to get creative, collaborate and be part of the Jack & Atticus community.
The Room for Art is a place to explore and experiment with art in a fun and relaxed environment. Learn to draw with confidence as we try out different techniques from the basics of drawing to developing sketching skills, looking at shape tone and colour, paint techniques, still life, print making, collage, art as therapy, illustration for books and much much more. All materials will be provided so you can just turn up and make much needed room for art in your lives.
We will be running a wide range of art classes from adult courses, children’s workshops, art as therapy sessions, corporate well-being sessions and peri-natal classes. Head over to the website for more information or pop into the shop and have a chat about what you are looking for and what would suit you.
We are so looking forward to seeing you soon. There is always room for art.
ART AS THERAPY
Creativity is a brilliant way to start a conversation you will be guided through different approaches and ideas to start a conversation about how we can use creativity to help our own mental health, strengthen emotional resilience and help with coping strategies (in work and at home) to aid relaxation and mindfulness through the art making process.
The main focus in therapeutic sessions is to take a break, take a breath, make some art and have some fun (definitely no experience or background in art is necessary or expected either).
ADULT ART CLASSES
All the art classes at Jack & Atticus have the emphasis on the individual, allowing each participant to express themselves while building confidence in their art making. The classes are for all abilities and we welcome all to make their mark, explore and experiment with the art materials.
We will look at different techniques from the basics of drawing to developing sketching skills, looking at shape tone and colour, paint techniques, still life, print making, collage, art as therapy, illustration for books and much much more. There is no right or wrong way of making art – just your way. So come along and have some fun, take a breath, relax and make some art.
